Stability of the Jupiter Southern Polar Vortices Inspected Through Vorticity Using Juno/JIRAM Data

چکیده
Abstract The Jovian InfraRed Auroral Mapper (JIRAM) onboard the NASA Juno mission monitored evolution of Jupiter’s polar cyclones since their first observation ever in February 2017. Data acquired by JIRAM have revealed cloudy organized a complex, yet stable geometrical pattern at both poles. Several studies investigated dynamics and structure these cyclones, to understand physical mechanisms behind formation evolution. In this work, we present vorticity maps deduced from wind fields for region poleward ∼−80°, which has been extensively covered over last four years observations. cyclonic features related are embedded slightly, but diffused anticyclonic circulation, short‐living anticyclones emerge with respect surroundings. Although general stability whole system is strongly confirmed variations shape vortices, as well changes local structures, observed.

Aromatic compounds have been considered a likely candidate for enhanced aerosol formation in the polar region of Jupiter. We develop a new chemical model for aromatic compounds in the Jovian auroral thermosphere/ionosphere. The model is based on a previous model for hydrocarbon chemistry in the Jovian atmosphere and is constrained by observations from Voyager, Galileo, and the Infrared Space Ob...
متن کاملassessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea
data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...
